Secure FTP, SFTP and FTPS
FTP over SSH is not SFTP and is not supported.
SFTP is SSH FTP
SFTP is allowed on any server, and you can connect with PuTTY or WinSCP over port 2222 (port 22 for Dedicated and VPS accounts). The SSH service, and therefore SFTP, is not available on Windows shared plans.

Username: control panel username
Password: control panel password
Port: 2222 -OR- 22 (depends on type of hosting)
Note: This login requires your control panel username and password. Other FTP logins you create will not suffice.
FTPS is FTP over SSL or TLS
FTP over TLS is allowed on all of our servers, though your server type may require different settings. See below for specific details for your server type.
Linux Shared and Reseller
Please use the following settings to access your Linux Shared or Reseller server via FTPS:
Host: ftpes://domain.com -or- ftpes://server IP -or- ftpes://server-name
Username: cPanel user name
Password: cPanel password
Port: 21
Notes:
1. This login requires your control panel username and password. Other FTP logins you create will not suffice.
2. If your FTP client requires you to specify Explicit vs Implicit FTP over TLS, you must choose Explicit.
Windows Shared, VPS, and Dedicated Servers
FTPS on Windows Shared accounts, VPS and Dedicated servers require different settings and may need to be enabled. If it is not already enabled for you, please contact us via Phone or support@nexus.pk to request that we "enable TLS for FTP."
